The injury of Wang Linging, a left back of the Chinese women's soccer team for Bangkok Universiade, was finally diagnosed as palm fracture on Friday.

According to the Chinese team, Wang's injury was initially expected to be a forearm facture. Fortunately, it was not that serious.

The 19-year-old Wang, a member of the Beijing side and the national youth squad, was a regular starter of the Universiade team. She got the injury in a collision with a South African player in a group match on Thursday night.

China beat South Africa 2-0.
