Asian champion Gan Lin won China's first shooting gold at the Bangkok Universiade on Saturday in men's 10m running target individual event.

The 23-year-old Gan, double gold medalist in the 2006 Doha Asian Games, collected 296 points in the slow stage on Friday and 286 points in the rapid stage Saturday, taking the title with an aggregate 582 points, just one point ahead of Kukasz Czapla of Poland.

Ukraine's Vladyslav Pryanishnikov was third with a total of 578 points after two stages.
