The first sentence Su Li-wen said to reporters after she grabbed a gold at the Universiade taekwondo competition was, "Did I play handsomely in the final?"
The Doha Asiad gold medalist from Chinese Taipei won women's 63kg category after defeating Croatian player Josipa Kusanic.
"I'm happy to get the gold," said the veteran.
However, what makes her happier is that she could enjoy the game of taekwondo again.
The 27-year-old veteran, who also won a silver medal in 2005 World Taekwondo Championships, said she had undergone a low ebb after the Asiad as the high expectation fallen on her made her sort of depressed.
"I had a lot of pressure and couldn't enjoy the competitions as I used to," she recalled.
She said she played taekwondo because of the love of this game, however, the pressure prevented her from keeping the passion, which led to her stunning exit in the first round at this year's World Taekwondo Championships in Beijing.
She made a self-examination and decided to let down the burden and focus on the game itself. And she managed to do so at the Universiade.
"I'm so glad to find that I can enjoy the competitions again," she said.
Su said she would fight for the qualification for 2008 Beijing Olympics.
