Chinese players reaped the two table tennis golds at the Bangkok Universiade on Monday.

China whitewashed Japan 3-0 to claim the women's team title, while the men's team of China beat Chinese Taipei 3-0.

In the preliminary matches for the mixed-double event, four pairs of players from China overpowered their opponents respectively to enter the semi-finals.

It was the first time for the table tennis events to be included in the World University Games.
