Kwon Eun Kyung of South Korea won the women's 51kg category taekwondo competition after defeating Yaowapa Boorapolchai from the host nation at the Bangkok Universiade on Monday.
Kwon stunned Thai Olympic heroine Yaowapa 2 - -1 in the final.
The bronze medals went to Jannet Alegria of Mexico and M.ozge Gok from Turkey.
