German riders dominated the "Good Luck Beijing" International Equestrian Eventing Competitions as they swept top two of the tournament which concluded on Monday.
After two days of drizzle, Monday's show jumping event was under a fine weather. Frank Ostholt, one of the four Germans competing here, won the title with 53.40 penalty points.
His compatriot Dirk Schrade stood second with 54.60 points. Shane Rose from Australia was third at 66.60.
Ostholt, gold medalist of the 2006 World Equestrian Games, said highly of the competition facilities.
"I am very happy to win the title. It is lucky to use facilities here. It is a fantastic court. Everyone wishes a best thing -- wining the title. I have a good memory here and I hope I come back with not so bad result." said Ostholt.
The event is a dry-run for next year's Olympic equestrian events.Timothy Fok, President of Sports Federation and Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, said that the tournament was a complete success.
"The success of the test event gave us much confidence, and we have one more year, we wish we could host successful Olympic competitions in Hong Kong," said Fok.
