Chinese players reaped two table tennis team gold medals at the Bangkok World University Games on Monday.

China whitewashed Japan 3-0 to claim the women's team title, while the men's team of China beat Chinese Taipei 3-0.

In the preliminary matches for the mixed-double event, four pairs from China overpowered their opponents respectively to enter the semi-finals.

It was the first time for table tennis to be included in the World University Games.
