Chinese judoka Liu Huanyuan grabbed a gold in the women's open division at the Universiade on Thursday, contributing the second gold to the tally of the Chinese judo delegation.
Liu, Doha Asiad gold medalist, beat Lee Jung Eun of South Korea with an Ippon in the final.
"The opponent was not so competitive," Liu said, adding that she was not in her best form.
However, Su Changlai, head of the Chinese college students judo delegation, said Liu did well today.
"She went through all the matches smoothly and easily claimed the title," Su said.
Liu, 24, met fierce resistance from Japanese judoka Tateyama Mai, bronze medalist at Doha Asiad, in the first round.
The two fought from start to finish of the five-minute duel and Liu only managed to stand out for one more yoko. Tateyama finally took one of the bronze medals through repechage.
The other bronze went to Sandrine Portet of France.
The first gold for the Chinese Universiade judo delegation was grabbed by Tong Wen in women's over 78kg category on Monday.
