Japanese judoka Ishii Satoshi claimed the title in men's open category at the Universiade on Thursday.

Ishii threw down his opponent Aleksandar Petkovic of Serbia only nine seconds into the duel and won with an Ippon.

His teammate Tomoko Fukumi got a gold in women's 48kg division previously and Japan has got seven judo golds at the Universiade until now.

The men's open bronze was shared by Adam Okruashviki of Georgia and Vitaliy Polyanskyy of Ukraine.
