The Chinese diving team, who won 10 out of 12 gold medals in the last version of the Games in Izmir, Turkey, in 2005, collected four golds after six events in Bangkok.

Peng and Luo made the 3m springboard a matchup inside the Chinese after the second round, exchanging the lead several times before Peng grabbed the victory with an eye-catching 91.80-point jump on the last attempt.
There was no challenge from their opponents as Peng/Zhang led from the very beginning to end to win the 3m springboard synchronized.
Lao expected to have a tight game against Espinosa, who led in the preliminary and semifinals, but two poor rounds of the Mexican girl left Lao alone on the top of the board for the trophy.
