Frenchman Julien Billa seemed excited after winning the title of the kayak slalom men's race (K1) on Friday evening, rating it a perfect one.
"The race is very hard and exciting. I have a perfect race in China Open," Billa told press at the "Good Luck Beijing" event.
He won the top prize with a result of 188.02 seconds in the final.
"The water course was challenging and the competition was fierce because of the participation of many top paddlers," added the 26-year-old.
His next plan would be another training session back home and to prepare for the national qualifying test which will select paddlers for next year's Beijing Olympic Games.
On the quality of the venue and service, Julien said that he was satisfied and the venue was one of the best in the world and a good place for the coming Olympics.
