The judo events were concluded on Friday with Japan reaping half of the total 18 gold medals. South Korea and China took two golds apiece, while Mongolia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, France and Uzbekistan split the other five golds.
Australia, the bronze medalists at 2005 Universiade in Turkey, eased past Russia, the fourth finisher in Turkey, 85-65 to take the women''s basketball title.

Canada rallied from three points behind to beat Chinese Taipei 5-3, becoming the softball champions.
The four golf golds went to Iran, Mexico, Chinese Taipei and host Thailand.
Saturday will be the last day of the 24th Universiade. The last eight gold medals, six from diving, one from men''s basketball and one from men''s volleyball, will be decided.
