Chinese female kayaking athlete Li Jingjing won bronze medal here Sunday in the "Good Luck Beijing" China Open Canoe/Kayak Slalom.

She won the medal with a result of 225.11 seconds in kayak (K1) race held in Shunyi Olympic Rowing-Canoeing Park in the northeastern suburb of Beijing.

"I am OK in the first round. But I made some mistake near the end of the second round," Li said. "Anyway, I am quite happy with the result."

She said that this is her best personal result and her aim is to win the gold metal in next year's Olympic Games to be held in the same park.

However, she also stressed that the water is rapid and the water course is hard for the paddlers.
