Slovakia's female kayak athlete Jana Dukatova said she was not satisfied with her performance though she won the gold medal in the China Open Canoe/Kayak Slalom.

"I am not satisfied with today's performance. I made some mistakes," she told reporters after the kayak (K1) women race.

"The water is fast. The water course is hard, especially for women athletes," she added.

When asked about reasons for her success in the competition, she said that it is a combination of good training, a good coach and good luck.

"Without any of them, you cannot win," she said.

Jana ranked third in the semi-final in 1 minute 49.52 seconds. In the final, the top two athletes in the semi-final made some mistakes and got some penalty seconds while Jana did both rounds smoothly, securing the top prize.

When asked about whether this result would be good reference for her qualification for the Beijing Olympics, Jana said that she would face fierce competition from strong competitors back home because there are many good kayak athletes in her country.

Jana now ranks second in the world's kayak (K1) women slalom race.
