The match between Cambodia and Thailand of the ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asia Nations) under-17 football championship was postponed from Sunday afternoon to Monday morning due to heavy rain in Phnom Penh.
Thousands of fans in raincoats stayed in the Olympic Stadium, until the decision of postponement was announced.
"I spent one dollar to buy a ticket but it was very sad because the match can't be played," said Nen Nat.
"It is an international match and I want to watch it. I can't wait until tomorrow because I won't have time on Monday. Tomorrow I will go back to work," he added.
Fans can watch Monday's match with paying for admission, according to the organizing committee.
"The Cambodian government accepted our proposal to host this event, although the Olympic Stadium has limited facilities and structures. It is pride for Cambodia," said John N. S. Koh, senior member of the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF), the Asia Football Confederation (AFC) and the FIFA's organization committee for the Olympic Football Tournaments.
During the first match held on Sunday afternoon, Indonesia defeated Brunei 3-0.
Except the Philippines, all ASEAN countries sent teams to the tournament.
The first ASEAN U-17 football championship was held in 2005 in Thailand, with Burma being the winner, and the second in 2006 in Vietnam, with Vietnam the winner.
