Singapore drew 3-3 with Myanmar on Wednesday in the fifth match of the ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asia Nations) Football Federation (AFF) U17 Championship Tournament 2007.
During the first half of the match, Singaporean player Md. Fazi B. Yahaya scored at the 18th minute to give Singapore the lead. At the 42nd minute, Kaung Thet Aung levelled for Myanmar.
In the second half, Myanmar player Thet Naing scored a goal at the 47th minute, and Kyi Linn added one 12 minutes later.
But at minute 66, Singaporean player Md. Alqaasimy B.A. Rahman scored a goal and Ng.Yong Voo Stanely scored the equalizer at the 74th minute.
"In the first half, my boys did not play well, but in the second half they played well. They face tough challenges with Myanmar and we are happy with this result," Singaporean coach Abdullah Moh D Noor told reporters after the match.
Myanmar coach U Khin Maung Tint said that they will try to play better in the next matches. Myanmar will play with Laos and Vietnam in Group B.
