Jacques Rogge, President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), said here Friday that the IOC is very pleased with the preparation of the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.
"The preparation went extremely well," Rogge said at a press conference before the 11th IAAF World Championships in Athletics to be held on Saturday.
He said the 12 test events held in Beijing recently were well organized and the IOC was "very pleased."
When asked with which aspects he was satisfied, he said "everything."
A series of Olympic test events, which were called "Good Luck Beijing", included the World Rowing Junior Championships, the Road Cycling International Invitational Race, 2007 International Hockey Tournament, 2007 International Baseball Tournament and eight other international competitions.
The aim of hosting these events was to test every aspect of the city's preparation for the 2008 Olympic Games, including the Games-time command system, competition organization, service standards and venue teams.
