Laos will face Thailand in the final of the ASEAN (the Association of Southeast Asian Nations) Football Federation (AFF) U17 Championship Tournament 2007 on Monday.
Laos beat Indonesia 3-0 and Thailand upset Vietnam 2-0 here in the semifinals on Thursday.
At the National Olympic Stadium, Laotian player Sopha Saysana opened the scoring in the 43rd minute. In the second half Sopha Saysana and
Ketsada Souksavanh added one apiece.
In the other match at the Army Stadium, Thai player Anusak Laosanathai scored two goals on 28 and 85 minutes.
Except the Philippines, all ASEAN countries sent teams to the tournament.
The first ASEAN U-17 football championship was held in 2005 in Thailand where Myanmar were crowned, and the second in 2006 in Vietnam where the hosts took the title.
