U.S. coach Greg Ryan said on Friday that his team has a simple goal at the women's World Cup _ winning the title.

"I think it's like all the other teams, is to win the game, win the World Cup," Ryan told Xinhua.

Ryan tipped Brasil and Germany as their main rivals in the Sept. 10-30 tournament, but said that England is also a team to watch and host China has many advantages.

"The matches will be difficult," he said.

The United States will open its World Cup campaign on Tuesday by playing the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in the capital city of southwest China's Sichuan province.

"The DPR Koreans have a lot of stamina, and they are fast," said Ryan said.

"We've done some researches about them, so I believe we can win the first match," he added.

Sweden and Nigeria are also drawn in Group B, which is regarded the "Group of Death" in the 16-team tournament.
