Norway's Andreas Thorkildsen won the javelin event at the Golden League meet in Zurich on Friday evening, said reports from Oslo on Saturday.
Thorkildsen won with his first and only throw, which measured 89.51m, also season's best for the Olympic winner, Norwegian Broadcasting (NRK) reported.
Finnish Tero Pitkomoki placed second with 87.44. American Breaux Greer came third with 83.15m.
In the 100m race, Norway's new star Jaysuma N'Dure placed second, with 10.20, according to NRK. N'Dure holds the Norwegian record, 10.07.
