Everything is ready for World Chess Championship Mexico-2007 to be inaugurated on Wednesday afternoon in Mexico City with the participation of eight of the world's best players.

This chess championship will be inaugurated Wednesday at Mexico City's Theatre. The games will be played on a hotel in Mexico City's Historic Center.

The eight chess players that will fight for the world title are reigning world champion Vladimir Kramnik of Russia, Viswanathan Anand (India) with the highest rating worldwide.

Alexander Morozevich and Peter Svidler, both from Russia and earned their pass in the past World Chess championship played in Argentina in 2005.

Russia's Candidate Tournament winners Peter Leko (Hungary) and Levon Aronian (Armenia) will also participate, so will Israel native Boris Gelfand and Alexander Grischuk (Russia).

The average rating of the eight players is 2,752 points, placing this as one of the strongest chess events of all times.

There is not a real favorite, which guarantees interesting and exciting games.

The Championship will be played in a round-robin double-round, meaning each player will play twice against all his seven opponents.

Other chess events as well will be carried out throughout Mexico during this championship, among other activities to promote chess learning and practice among children and youths.

Tickets to attend the Championship can already be purchased.

The games will be transmitted live through internet and will be analyzed by grand masters.
