Japan head coach Hiroshi Ohashi expressed his satisfaction with his team's performance against Argentina despite of the sole goal, saying getting a full three points is the most important thing.

Forward Yuki Nagasato struck in added time to earn Japan a 1-0 victory over Argentina.

Just like their opening fixture against England, Japan left it late, with Nagasato pouncing to score after Argentina goalkeeper Romina Ferrero had parried a low drive from Yukari Kinga.

The goal gives Japan four points and real hope of reaching the quarter-finals but confirms Argentina's elimination after two defeats.

As for this match, Hiroshi thought they had a very good beginning, yet with a none-scoring first half.

"We are more experienced than Argentina, and my girls showed their willpower and tenacity," Hiroshi said.

Suffering another failure in the group match, Argentina head coach Jose Carlos Borrello attributed it to the absences of two players, one injured before the tournament, and the captain absent in China.

Talking about the Japanese team, Borrello said the team 2002 was more aggressive and attractive.

"My girls tried their best in this game," he said. "I hope we can improve in the coming future."

Japan will expect to complete the job of qualifying in their final group fixture against Germany in Hangzhou on Monday, in which Hiroshi said they have to perform better. And Argentina will face England in Chengdu on the same day.
