Peru's national team soccer coach Jose Del Solar departed on Thursday to Europe to observe Peruvian soccer players Roberto Merino, Andres Vasquez and Carlos Zambrano and evaluate their possible call.
Del Solar will go to Greece to watch Merinoon Sunday's Atromitos versus AEK of Athens game, and later travel to Sweden to observe Vasquez in the IFK G teborg play against GAIS on Tuesday.
His tour will continue in Germany to observe defense player Zambrano in the Schalke 04 game against Herta Berlin, although the Peruvian player has not been confirmed yet as a regular player.
Del Solar's return to Peru is foreseen for Sunday September 30, three days prior his deadline to present the list of players that will participate in the South Africa 2010 elimination game against Paraguay, slated for October 13 at Lima.
Del Solar became Peru's national soccer team coach when Julio Uribe left.
The Peruvian national team has played three friendly games with Del Solar as coach: two ties with Costa Rica (1-1) and Colombia (2-2) and won victory against Bolivia (2-0).
