Syrian champion Karama will take on South Korea's Seong Nam on Wednesday evening in the AFC Champions League quarter-finals second leg at the Khaled Bin Waleed stadium in Syria's midland city of Homs.
Mohammad Kwid, Karama's well-known coach, told the official Syria Times newspaper that this match is a "live-or-die" one as his team lost 1-2 in their fight against Seong Nam in last week's first leg.
"It will be the last chance for our side and hopefully they will capitalize on this advantage," Kwid said.
Karama requires a victory against the South Korean side after the defeat, but their impressive record at Khaled Bin Waleed stadium will give Kwid's side plenty of confidence for this match.
Karama have not lost at home in the AFC champions league matches over the past two seasons, winning seven and drawing two of their nine games.
"Maintaining our unbeaten home record is not our target as it is our aim to win and advance to the semi-finals," Kwid said.
Karama finished as runners-up to S. Korean Hyundai Motors in last year's event.
