Special Olympics table tennis athlete Witani Musa has urged Nigerians to pray for them to excel as Nigeria's contingent attends this year's Special Olympics World Summer Games.

The female athlete was so excited to wear the country's colors as she said: "I feel I am on the sky because I am already feeling the gold medal dangling on my neck."

"I want all Nigerians to pray for me and my compatriots to the Games to sharpen my boldness because I am always affected by the crowd whenever I step out for a competition."

Nigeria is to compete in five-aside soccer, table tennis and athletics in the Games, scheduled to start next Tuesday in Shanghai, China.

The Special Olympics is for the intellectually challenged persons and it has its motto as "let me win, but if I cannot win, let me be brave at the attempts".
