Jamaican Asafa Powell, men's 100m world record holder, won the men's 200m title at Shanghai Golden Grand Prix on Friday.

The 25-year-old Jamaican clocked 20 seconds to set a new meeting record. American Rodney Martin took silver with 20.29 seconds while Jamaican Christopher Williams finished third in 20.39.

Chinese sprinters Liu Haitao and Chen Yingqiu finished 8th and 9th respectively.
