The Angolan women's basketball team on Friday got the pass to the semifinals of the African senior females African Championship in Dakar, Senegal, after beating Cote d'Ivoire 44-42.

At halftime, the Angolan team was ahead by 24-19.

With this victory, the Angolan women's team will dispute the pass to the final with the winner of the game between Mali and Cameroon.

Referring to the Friday match against the Ivorian ladies, Angolan Coach Anibal Moreira said his team made good use of the experience it learnt in the match lost to the women's team of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
