More than 1,200 Zambians from all walks of life will compete in Lusaka on Saturday in the 4th millennium development goals (MDGs) race to re-affirm their commitment to achieving the MDGs by 2015.

The race, introduced in 2004, seeks to highlight Zambia's progress in meeting the MDGs.

This year's event includes a half-marathon (21km), health walk (7km), assorted children's races/activities and MDGs information market booths providing information on each of the eight goals.
