Vietnam is striving to bag home 1-3 medals at the coming Beijing Olympic Games next year, local newspaper People's Army reported Wednesday.
Vietnam may gain a weightlifting gold medal or at least a silver one. The country pins the greatest hope on weightlifter Hoang Anh Tuan, although he has yet to win a berth to the Games which will start on August 8 in Beijing, China.
Vietnam is scheduled to send more than 20 athletes to participate in the sports including taekwondo, weightlifting, shooting and track and field, the newspaper said.
