Russia's Sochi has kicked off training programs for personnel that will serve athletes and spectators in the Winter Olympic Games 2014 in the Black Sea resort, Itar-Tass news agency reported on Saturday.
A special training course has begun at a Sochi affiliation of the Moscow-based People's Friendship University. "The most highly demanded disciplines are services, styling and sports nutrition," said the college head Nadezhda Kozlova.
"We've signed agreements with several hotels and clinics in Sochi that will send their personnel for tuition here next month," he was quoted as saying.
Those trainees will also have language classes such as English, German, French, Spanish, Greek, Italian and Arabic.
Other training programs will also be carried out for staff of local airport, hospital doctors, officials from city and district administrations and for corporate managers and executives next year.
Sochi won the bidding and become host city of the Games last summer.
