Liverpool midfielder Mohamed Sissoko has completed a move to Italian Serie A club Juventus on Tuesday.

According to Juventus, the Mali international cost a transfer fee of 11 million euros (about 16.26 million U.S. dollars) and has signed a five-year contract.

Sissoko, formerly played for Anfield and Valencia, jetted to Italy at the weekend for a medical before heading back to the African Nations Cup in Ghana, where his side faces Ivory Coast later on Tuesday.

Juve, third in Serie A, signed Lazio defender Guglielmo Stendardo on loan until June on Monday and also announced that Aston Villa's Olof Mellberg would be joining the club in July.
