China's men's volleyball team will travel to Cuba in March to play friendly games against its counterpart in this Caribbean country, said Cuba's volleyball team coach Orlando Samuels on Thursday.

The Asian team will arrive in the Cuban capital city on March 7,where the games will be held. The games is a part of the Cuban team's preparation to obtain a ticket for the 2008 Olympic Games.

Cuba will seek the Olympic ticket in one of the volleyball tournaments that will be carried out overseas, either Germany, Japan or Portugal, depending which one the International Volleyball Federation assigns them on March 3.

Meanwhile, other countries that aim for a Beijing Olympic volleyball berth include Poland, Italy, Spain and Argentina.

So far, China has qualified for the 2008 Games as a host, while Brazil, Russia and Bulgaria obtained their berths since they finished in the first three places of the World Cup.
