UEFA does not oppose to adoption of "B-team" by some squads in their last group games, said UEFA spokesman William Gaillard on Saturday.

"It is obvious that an already-qualified team would send their spare players up to the pitch," said William Gaillard.

He noted that it is understandable that these team would try to avoid the danger of injuries, yellow or red cards by so doing.

Currently, The Netherlands, Croatia, Portugal and Spain have all sealed two group wins, earning them places in the quarterfinals of Euro 2008.

UEFA, the governing body overseeing the once-in-four-year European football championship, has not stipulated any rules that may forbid "B team" for the last round of group matches, according to William Gaillard.
