Indonesian president hopes scout law to be enacted soon

Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono said on Friday that he hopes the bill on the Scout Movement could be soon completed and enacted to encourage the organization in building better young generation, the national news agency Antara reported.

"We will try to make the Scout Movement bill to be enacted in the period (of this government). The law should be realistic and could be considered as the important part of (the country's) development," said the president in the sideline of the movement officials' inauguration in the Presidential Palace.

The president hopes that after being enacted, the law would support revitalization efforts of the movement that has been started in 2006.

He also said that fund for the movement's activities will increase in line with increasing government's budget.

President Yudhoyono also hopes that the Scout Movement to stay innovative and keeps up with current condition.
