Hao Shuai, bronze medallist of the 2006 world athletics youth championships took the women's hammer throw title on Monday at the 6th Chinese City Games.

The 20-year-old Hao, from Shenyang, northeast China's Liaoning Province, delivered a throw of 64.12 meters, beating 2006 Asian youth champion Wang Zheng to the second place after the Xi'an athlete with 64.04m.

Chengdu's Wang Yang, who lost to Wang Zheng in last year's Asian youth championships, claimed the bronze after throwing 60.91m in the under-20 tournament featuring 12 athletes.

The world youth record of 73.24m was set by China's Zang Wenxiutwo years ago in Central Chinese city Changsha.
