Brazil swept South Korea 25-15, 25-17 and 25-17 here on Saturday for its sixth win in seven tries at the women's volleyball World Cup.
"Our team was able to concentrate on each point and today we made many good blocks that helped neutralize their attack and our service was also essential," said Brazil head coach Jose Guimaraes.
Trailing Italy and the United States by one win, the Brazilians were still hopeful for the title.
"We missed a big opportunity in our game against the United States. But we still have the possibility of winning the title, we can aim for that," Guimaraes added.
Paula Pequeno led the Brazilians with 16 points and Sheilla Castro added 13.
"Today's match was very difficult from the very beginning, because we didn't have our best players as some of them have had operations and can't maintain their level of play in all the matches," said South Korean head coach Lee Jung-chul. "So we replaced them today and that contributed to our loss."
