Norwegian Elise Tyldum and Italian Fabio Pasini won the women's and men's sprint classic titles respectively at the FIS Tour de Ski China Changchun, Northeast China, Tuesday afternoon.
Though Chinese Liu Yuanyuan and Huo Li tried their best to challenge their Northern European rivals, Tyldum still grabbed the women's title while Liu was the fifth to cross the finishing line, the best for the Chinese women skiiers.
After winning the race, Tyldum said that "Changchun is a beautiful city, it's the culture here that made me win."
Barbara Moriggel from Italy and Solfrid Braathen from Norway finished second and third respectively at the women's sprint, while Fredrik Bystrom from Sweden and Kent ove Clausen from Norway completed the podium finish for the men's event where Chinese Sun Qinghai placed fifth.
A total of 114 skiers from China, Sweden, Finland, Italy and other countries and regions featured the second leg of FIS Tour de Ski held in Changchun Jingyuetan national forest park, including 46 of the world top 100.
The first leg was held in Shangri-La, Yunnan province in Southwest China.
