The Praha Olympijska (Olympic Prague) public company, which deals with the Prague bid for the 2016 Olympic Games, handed over the filled questionnaire of applicant city to the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the Czech news agency CTK reported on Monday.
The questionnaire is supplemented by the Czech government legal guarantees signed by Prime Minister Mirek Topolanek.
IOC will hold a meeting to choose a narrow circle of candidates in June.
The cities chosen will then have to fill in a much more extensive questionnaire by February 12, 2009 along with a 500,000 U.S. dollars deposit.
The vote for the city to host the 2016 Summer Olympics will take place at an IOC meeting in Copenhagen on October 2, 2009.
Non-European countries will be the favorite candidates since the 2012 Olympics will take place in London. Source: Xinhua
