Beijing receives 4,400 media applicants for Olympic coverage |

Beijing has received 4,400 media applicants for coverage of the 2008 Olympic Games as of Friday, the deadline of Olympic media application, Olympics organizers said Friday afternoon.
The organizers expect 5,600 print media reporters and photographers to cover the Olympics, saying the remaining 1,000 applications are right on the way to Beijing and the delay is caused by either long distance or time difference.
