Teenage divers Chen Ruolin and Wang Xin claimed the women's 10-meter synchronized platform gold at the 2008 National Diving Championships in Hefei, central China, Saturday.

Chen and Wang, both 16, winner of the event at 2007 Melbourne World Championships, led Saturday's final through five high-level dives to collect 374.04 points.

"We synchronized quite well," said Chen, gold medalist of the women's 10meters platform at the 16th Diving World Cup on February this year. "But I think Wang Xin dived better than me today."

"I need to perform more steady in the future," added Chen, the Jiangsu native.

Kang Li and Wang Hao, both from Tianjin, totalled 365.46 to take the silver, while Gao Lin and Gao Li, twins from Hebei, finished third at 341.94.

"I am very happy with the result," said Gao Lin." I did not expect to win a medal."
