Japan's first singles player Shoji Sato outclassed Marc Zwiebler of Germany 19-21, 21-17, 21-5 while German pair Ingo Kindervater and Kristof Hopp beat Japan's shutters Shintaro Ikeda and Shuichi Sakamoto 21-19, 17-21, 21-16.
Germany's second singles Dieter Domke was given an easy task in his 29-minute 21-12, 21-16 win over Sho Sasaki.
Japan's second doubles pair Keita Masuda and Tadashi Ohtsuka beat Roman Spitko and Michael Fuchs of Germany 22-20, 21-18.
Japan's third singles player Kenichi Tago had to flex his muscles to wear down Marcel Reuter's resistance in a 21-19, 21-15 match.
Japan's men's squad will meet Group B top finisher Malaysia in the quarter finals on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Thailand clinched a 3-0 win over New Zealand and secured a place in the quarter finals and will meet China in the Thomas Cup competition.
