China thrashed South Korea's team 3-1 on Thursday and advanced to the finals in the Uber Cup women's badminton semifinal showdown at Bung Karno Sports Hall here.
World No. 1 Xie Xingfang crushed South Korea's single player Hwang Hye Youn 21-9, 21-19 in the first round of the game, but China's first doubles pair Yang Wei/Zhang Jiewen fell to Lee KyungWon/Hyo Jung Lee 21-14, 17-21, 18-21.
China second single player Lu Lan demolished Jang Soo Young 21-9,21-12 while doubles pair Wei Yili/Zhang Yawen swept past Kim MinJung/Bae Youn Joo 21-19, 21-8.
China will face the winner of Germany/Indonesia in the Uber Cup finals.
