Brazilian table tennis veteran Hugo Hoyama received an invitation Wednesday to participate in his fifth Olympic Games.

The Brazilian table tennis association announced that Hoyama will travel to Beijing only for the team event. The other players are Thiago Monteiro and Gustavo Tsuboi

With nine titles in the Pan American Games, Hoyama is Brazil's leader in the sport. The penholder broke his right ankle last October and missed the Olympic qualifying tournament. The Brazilian table tennis body decided to award Hoyama a spot on the team.
