Cubans to enjoy Beijing Olympic Games on TV
09:51, July 25, 2008

The Cuban sports fans will be able to follow everything that happens at the 29th Olympic Games of Beijing 2008 since all the national TV channels will guarantee together 32 hours of broadcast of the Games daily.

Tele Rebelde Channel, one of the five of national scope, will broadcast live 24 hours a day from August 8-24, Vice President of the Cuban Institute of Radio and Television (ICRT) Danilo Sirio said Thursday.

Sirio said the broadcasts will include all the performances of the 165 members of the Cuban sports delegation, as well as the outstanding performances of sportsmen of other countries and regions.

Canal Educativo II will broadcast from 18:00 to 02:00 local time the events that Tele Rebelde could not broadcast due to lack of space. Canal Multivision (of recent output) will cover the events that can not be covered by the previously mentioned channels.

Moreover, Radio Rebelde will broadcast 24 hours from China, while other radio stations will inform and broadcast reviews of the Olympic competitions.

According to preliminary data, these Olympic Games will be the most watched ones in the history, with a calculated audience of 4,000 million viewers.
