The Thirteen delegates from the International Olympic Committee (IOC) led by former Moroccan Nawal Moutawakel on Wednesday reviewed the sports facilities of Madrid due to its Olympic candidature for 2016.

The delegates toured by the Olympic Stadium, which need some repairs, later they went to the Santiago Bernabeu stadium.

The delegates also visited the gymnastic pavilion and the hockey center, accompanied by Madrid's mayor Alberto Ruiz Gallardon and the Secretary of Sports Jaime Lissavetzky.

They also visited the lot of the Olympic Village, which will be separated 46 hectares from the road M-40 in order to keep the athletes far from the noises of the city.

The delegation said it was satisfied with location of the media center and for the accessibility for the Para-Olympic sportsmen in all the facilities. According to the organizer sources, the IOC delegation had a good impression from all the infrastructure in Madrid.

Meanwhile, Lissavetzky said that Madrid "has the best project" of all the candidate cities to host the Olympic Games 2016 and he also hailed the "positive impression" the IOC delegation had.

The IOC delegations also visited the facilities to host the wrestling, weight lifting, badminton, table tennis and boxing.
