Huang Haibing and Gu Yu added two golds for the Chinese team in the athletics finals at the Asian Youth Games on Thursday.
Huang Haibing took the gold in boys' long jump finals with a comfort jump of 7.28 meters. The silver medal went to Pang Ying Kit from Hong Kong,
China, with a score of 6.81 meters, while Alhasan Mohammad Yaseen H from Saudi Arabia came in third with a score of 6.68 meters.
In the girls' discus finals, China's Gu Yu threw an unbeatable 45.43 meters, followed by Insaeng Subenrat from Thailand with a score of 42.98 meters. The third place went to Pak Kum Hyang of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, with a score of 39.43 meters.
The first Asian Youth Games is held in Singapore from June 29 to July 7, with some 1,400 athletes aged between 14 and 17 from 45 Olympic Council of Asia's members competing in 90 events across nine sports. Source: Xinhua
