Morocco's Amine Laalou upset world champion Yusuf Saad Kamel of Bahrain to win the men's 1500 meters champion at the Shanghai Golden Grand Prix here on Sunday.

Laalou, 27, clocked three minutes 34.19 seconds for the win. Kamel was second in 3:34.94 and Kenya's Belal Mansoor Ali, eighth in the Beijing Olympics, was third in 3:35.18.
