Cuban volleyball players fight for ticket to Champions Cup

The Cuban men's volleyball national team is getting ready to compete at the North, Central America and Caribbean Tournament (NORCECA) hosted in Bayamon, Puerto Rico, which will give one ticket to the Champions Cup to be hosted in November in Japan.
Cuban will has its first group A match against Dominican Republic on Oct. 12, local press said on Friday.
Cuban will face Barabdos on Oct. 13 and will finish the competition on Oct. 14 facing Puerto Rico.
The winner of NORCECA Tournament will get a ticket to the Champions Cup to face the teams from Japan, Brazil, Poland, Iran and Egypt.
The Champion Cup will be hosted from Nov. 18 to 23 in Osaka and Nagoya, Japan.
The Champion Cup gathers the regional winners, plus a team of the hosting country and a guest of the International Volleyball Federation.
Few weeks ago the Cuban women's volleyball team won the third place at the classification tournament.
The women's Champion Cup will be played from Nov. 10 to 15 in Tokyo and Fukuoka, Japan.
