Tickets for the Guangzhou Asian Games will go on sale in January 2010, according to the Marketing Department of Guangzhou Asian Games. It's said that an official ticketing website will be set up on November 12 and tickets can be bought after registering there.

Fang Da'er, director of the Marketing Department of Guangzhou Asian Games, said that plans and regulations for Games had been approved, as well as the ticket allocation plan for opening and closing ceremonies. At the same time, the service provider for ticket sales has been fixed already. Bids inviting ticket outlets and hotlines as well as ticket making and dispatching have all started already.

Asian Games ticket sales will be divided into three phases: the first is from January to March 2010; the second is from July to August 2010 and the third is from October to the end of the Asian Games. According to the plan, there are over 100 million tickets to be publicly sold, which can be bought via the official website, ticket outlets and gym ticket offices.

The tickets are all made from green materials and use a variety of advanced anti-counterfeiting technology, said Fang.
