Fourth seeds Bai Yan/Zhou Yimiao of Wuhan beat top seeds Zhang Ze/Li Ting from Nanjing in the final to take the mixed doubles title in Wuhan at the Sixth Chinese City Games tennis tournament on Tuesday.
The Wuhan pair eased past Zhang/Li 6-2, 6-4 in one hour and 30 minutes.
Bai/Zhou hit top gear quickly in the opening set, taking two serves of their opponents before winning it at 6-2.
The two duos exchanged breaks in the first two games of the second set, but it was the Wuhan pair that pulled away first, racing up to 5-3 after breaking Zhang/Li in the eighth game. The Wuhan pair closed out the match at 6-4.
